Digital Seva Apna CSC Registration: CSC is known as a common service centre which is a scheme that lies under Digital India Programme. According to the new CSC 2.0 Scheme, the government of India has a plan to establish more than 2.5 lakhs CSCs centres in India. So, before Apply For CSC Registration Online, let’s briefly understand What is CSC ?
CSC also known as Common Services Center is a program initiative by the Ministry Of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government Of India, CSCs are places where people in villages can get different electronic services, helping to make society more inclusive digitally and financially.
CSC works to create change by encouraging rural entrepreneurship, developing skills, and improving livelihoods. They also encourage communities to get involved and work together to make positive changes, focusing on the needs of rural people from the ground up.
What is VLE?
VLE stands for Village Level Entrepreneur who deals with most of the Govt and Non-Govt services with the consumers or people from the CSC Center.
Now if both the CSC and VLE are clear, let’s see what are the Prerequisite or eligibility criteria and system requirements for opening or applying for Apna CSC Registration.
Prerequisite or Eligibility Criteria for opening, enrolling or applying for Apna CSC Registration.
- Should be the Citizen of India
- Minimum age requirement is 18
- Should be minimum 10th pass
- Should have a valid TEC (Telecenter Entrepreneur Course) Certificate or should register under special schemes like SHG (Self Help Group) or RDD (Rural Development Department)
- For the application type CSC VLE, it is mandatory to have a (Telecenter Entrepreneur Course) TEC Certificate Number.
For TEC Certificate, applicant can register themself at https://www.cscentrepreneur.in/register - Applicants registering under SHG should provide his/her name, mobile number, state, and district for white listing, and also request DMs to add them. In case of RDD, the applicant must have his/her registration code as per the selection made.

- Minimum 120 GB Hard Disc
- Minimum 512 MB RAM
- Must have CD/DVD Drive
- UPS for PC and Minimum Licenced Window XP-SP2 or above Operating System
- Battery backup of minimum 4 hours or Portable Genset
- Printer/Colour Printer
- Digital/Web Camera
- Scanner
- Internet Connection with minimum speed of 128 kbps for browsing & data uploading.
Let’s proceed with the process and steps of Digital Seva Apna CSC Registration.
Digital Seva Apna CSC Registration
Visit the Apna CSC Registration portal by clicking on the link given below:
https://register.csc.gov.in/register
- Enter your mobile number and make sure that your mobile number is attached to your Aadhaar Card
- Fill the Captcha code and click on the Submit button given below
- You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, you need to enter that OTP in next page
- Now enter your Email ID and submit the OTP received in Email
For applicant registering as VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur):
- Click on the below link, and apply under new registration.
https://register.csc.gov.in - Click on the “Apply” button displayed
- Enter your Email ID and mobile number and make sure that your mobile number is attached to your Aadhaar Card
- Enter your Aadhaar number, and fill the captcha text
- Click on “Submit” button
- There is no fee in Apna CSC Registration for VLE
In the next step you have to provide your 16 digit Virtual ID number (You can generate with Aadhaar or click on Virtual ID number for details), and your name as mentioned in Aadhaar Card.
You can see the there authentication option:
- IRIS (Eyes)
- Fingerprint
- OTP (One Time Password)
IRIS and fingerprint authentication requires electronic devices to be set up, which may not be easily available at the time of registration, so it’s good to be processed with the OTP authentication, so make sure that your mobile number is registered with your aadhaar card, else you will not receive OTP. Now fill the captcha code, check the terms and condition box, and click on the submit form.
A new page will open, where you have to generate and verify OTP, and please be quick you will only get 15 minutes to do all the process, you will not get OTP unless you check the terms and condition box. You will receive OTP in your Email ID and in your registered mobile number as well. Submit the OTP and click on the verify button.
Next step is to fill out the main form. Main form has four sections, Personal Profile, Kioska Details, Pan Details, Banking Details.
Let’s move to the sections:
- Personal Profile: In this you just need to upload your clear photo showing your face and make sure its size should be between 9 Kb to 20 Kb. As your mobile number and Email ID is already verified.
- Kiosk Details: In this section you have to fill the following details:- Name of the kiosk centre,
Street,
Village/city/town,
Ward,
Pin code,
Post office,
Police station - Pan Details: You need to select any one either you are a company or an individual, then enter your PAN details, and click on verify button.
- Banking Details: In this section you need to enter your bank details to connect with the CSC centre. This includes the following details:-
Account type Saving/Current (It is advised to use current account)
Account holder name
IFSC Code
Account Number
Cancel Cheque Photo (Size should be between 10 Kb to 40 Kb)
Next step is to check the declaration box and click on the submit button. The page will start loading and after a while you can see the filled application form of your applied CSC centre.
You can see in your screen that your filled Apna CSC Registration application along with the generated application reference number for your CSC centre, click a photo of your reference number or note down it. You can see the following acknowledgement message on your screen.
“Congratulations, your application has been successfully submitted with us. An email will be sent for registration to your Email. We will get back to you once your application is approved.”
Congratulations, you have successfully applied for Apna CSC Registration. You can check your application status with the help of application reference number generated at the time of submitting Apna CSC Registration form. Please download the application form and must take a printout of it, you need to submit it to the District Manager for its future process.
Verification and documents Submission for Apna CSC Registration Center
Now you have to submit your application form of Apna CSC registration to your District manager (DM) of your area along with the photocopy of your documents. The required documents are:
- Passport size photo of the applicant
- Pan Card
- Cancelled Cheque/Bank Passbook
After submission the officer from the CSC department will come and visit your centre for inspection, and will check all the information and the necessary requirements for the centre. If there will be any problem, mismatch, or system requirement not up to mark, your application will be rejected. If everything is perfect, then after post verification, the user will become an active VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur ) or CSC User and will get a unique CSC ID on his/her registered email address.
CSC Re-Registration
Some CSC users have to re-register their account with the Digital Seva portal in order to continue their services. The CSC department or Digital Seva portal notify the CSC registered users by sending email on their registered Email ID or on their linked Digimail Account.
Although CSC Re-registration is not mandatory for all or most of the users. CSC Centre having old CSC ID get the re-registration email, because they have 11 characters CSC ID and as per the new update CSC department is issuing 12 digit CSC ID number for all its new users or centre.
CSC Application Status
After successful registration of your CSC account, The Digital Seva Team or the CSC team takes near about minimum 1 week and maximum 1 month to check your data application and verify it. The CSC application verification takes time so the check CSC Application Status online you need to click on the following link:https://register.csc.gov.in/register/status and fill the required details: Application reference number and captcha, then click on the “Submit” button to know the status.
Terms and conditions to follow after getting apna CSC Centre:
- User need to install DigiPay application and provide CSC services within 30 days of getting CSC ID
- User have to register under IRCTC programme within 15 days of getting CSC ID, to provide railway tickets services in his area
- User have to register for Rural Authorised Person (RAP) within 30 days of getting CSC ID
- VLE need to setup PMGDISHA centre in his village within 90 days of getting CSC ID
- Have to undergo a Telecentre Entrepreneur Course TEC and get certified within 60 days of getting CSC ID
Apna CSC-VLE Responsibilities
There are some duties and responsibility which VLE need to obey:
VLE needs to provide all the services to people without any discrimination.
- VLE should make sure that the centre is in public place with all the safety and convenience
- Availability of Kiosk from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM
